This resource can be used in SO many ways!
1. COUNTDOWN (End of the Year, Spring Break, Winter Break) Option #1-
Number the balloons for the number of day you plan to use in your countdown. I always did a 10 day countdown so I would write 1-10 on the 10 balloons with a permanent marker. This way, I could control what was happening on specific days.
2. COUNTDOWN (End of the Year, Spring Break, Winter Break) Option #2-
DO NOT number the balloons and let the students CHOOSE which balloon they want to pop each day.
3. POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INCENTIVE Option #1-
When the students have a great day, they get to pop a balloon at the end of the day. Whatever the prize was would then be implemented the following day.
4. POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INCENTIVE Option #2-
When the students meet behavior expectations, receive a compliment or set a strong example for another class, record a tally on the board. When students reach the target # of tallies (I always did 5 tallies), they get to POP a balloon!
5. STAFF MOTIVATION-
Use this to motivate staff as well. Put a few balloons up in the teacher’s lounge and POP away! Use the blank slips at the end of this product to write in treats and celebrations for you and your colleagues.
